Product Description:

The Multimode Subunit Breakout-Type Indoor Fiber Optic Cable is engineered to deliver exceptional durability and installation efficiency in demanding indoor environments. Unlike distribution cables, this breakout design features individual tight-buffered fibers, each reinforced with its own strength members and jacketed as independent subunits, all bundled within a rugged overall sheath . This construction provides the ultimate mechanical protection and allows for direct connector termination without the need for separate fan-out kits

Key Specifications & Features:

Multimode Fiber Options: Available with standard multimode fiber types including OM1 (62.5/125μm), OM2 (50/125μm), OM3 (50/125μm), and OM4 (50/125μm) to support various bandwidth and distance requirements . OM3 and OM4 fibers are optimized for laser-based high-speed applications such as 10G, 40G, and 100G Ethernet.

Individual Reinforced Subunits: Each fiber is surrounded by a layer of aramid yarn strength members and its own color-coded jacket, forming a rugged 2.0mm subunit . This design provides exceptional resistance to crushing, impact, and tensile stress during installation and throughout the cable's lifetime.

Direct Termination Capability: The breakout construction allows installers to terminate each subunit directly with connectors, significantly reducing installation time and eliminating the cost and complexity of fan-out kits .

Central Strength Member: A central strength member (typically FRP - Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) provides additional tensile support and maintains cable integrity during pulling .

Flame-Retardant Outer Sheath: Encased in a rugged overall jacket available in PVC or LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials to meet various fire safety requirements in commercial and residential buildings .

Gel-Free, Dry Construction: Features dry-type water-blocking materials, eliminating messy gels and making the cable clean and friendly to handle during installation and splicing .

Color-Coded Subunits: Individual subunits are distinctly colored for easy identification and organization during termination and troubleshooting .

All-Dielectric Design: Non-metallic construction provides complete immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI), ensuring clean signal transmission in electrically noisy environments

The rugged subunit design and direct-termination capability of this multimode breakout cable make it the ideal choice for a wide range of indoor fiber optic applications.

-Data Centers and Server Rooms
Ideal for direct connections between network switches, servers, and storage area networks (SANs). The rugged subunit construction withstands the rigors of high-density data center environments, while the OM3/OM4 multimode options support high-bandwidth applications such as 10G, 40G, and 100G Ethernet over laser-optimized fiber . The breakout design simplifies patching and reduces congestion in crowded equipment racks .

-Enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) Backbones
Perfect for horizontal and vertical backbone cabling within commercial office buildings, connecting telecommunications rooms (TR) to equipment rooms (ER) . The robust construction resists wear from cable trays and vertical risers, while the direct-termination capability speeds up installation in large-scale enterprise deployments .

-Telecommunications Rooms and Equipment Interconnects
Well-suited for use within telecommunication closets and equipment rooms where multiple direct connections are required. The individual subunits can be routed directly to termination panels or equipment, eliminating the need for bulky fan-out kits and simplifying cable management .

-Multifloor Building Deployments
Ideal for multi-story office towers, hotels, and residential buildings where cables must run through vertical shafts and risers. The breakout design provides the mechanical strength needed for vertical installations, while flame-retardant jacket options ensure compliance with building fire codes .

-Industrial Control and Automation Networks
Suitable for factory automation, process control, and SCADA systems where electromagnetic interference (EMI) from heavy machinery can disrupt communications . The all-dielectric construction provides complete immunity to EMI, ensuring reliable data transmission in electrically noisy industrial environments .

-Campus and Building Interconnections (Indoor Pathways)
Perfect for indoor pathways connecting multiple buildings within a campus environment, such as universities, hospitals, and corporate parks. The robust subunit construction protects fibers during installation through tunnels, basements, and intermediate distribution frames .

-Security and Surveillance Systems
Ideal for large-scale IP surveillance systems requiring fiber connectivity between security rooms and remote camera clusters. The breakout design allows individual subunits to serve different security zones or camera groups, providing organized and manageable infrastructure with EMI immunity for clean video transmission .

-Audio/Video Distribution Networks
Well-suited for AV-over-IP installations in convention centers, stadiums, and performing arts venues where multiple high-definition video signals need to be distributed over fiber. The multiple core options support numerous simultaneous video streams without interference .

-Temporary and Event Networks
Perfect for trade shows, exhibitions, and temporary event installations requiring rapid deployment and redeployment. The rugged breakout design withstands repeated installation and removal while maintaining signal integrity, and the direct-termination capability enables quick setup .

-Fiber-to-the-Desk (FTTD) Applications
Ideal for direct fiber connections to high-bandwidth workstations, such as video editing suites, graphic design studios, and research laboratories. The robust construction protects the fiber in the office environment, while direct termination provides reliable, high-speed connectivity to the desktop.
