High-Capacity Dome-Type Splice Closure is engineered to provide reliable, long-term protection for fiber optic splices in outside plant (OSP) networks. With a compact yet spacious design measuring 267mm in diameter and 527.5mm in length, this closure accommodates up to 288 fiber splices, making it an ideal solution for medium-to-large scale telecommunications infrastructure projects. Constructed from high-quality PP (Polypropylene) plastic, it offers excellent environmental sealing, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance for decades of reliable performance.
The high capacity and versatile port configuration of this splice closure make it suitable for a wide range of fiber optic network applications.
-Telecommunications Distribution Networks
Ideal for mid-span splicing and branching in metropolitan and rural telecommunications networks. The 1 oval + 6 round port configuration allows a large feeder cable (oval port) to be spliced and distributed to multiple branch cables (round ports) serving different neighborhoods or customer clusters.
-Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Point-to-Multipoint Distribution
Perfect for FTTH distribution points where a single main cable is split into multiple distribution cables serving individual streets or apartment buildings. The 288-fiber capacity supports large subscriber bases from a single closure location.
-Long-Haul and Metro Backbone Networks
Well-suited for splicing backbone cables in long-haul and metropolitan area networks. The high fiber count supports the large core counts typical of modern backbone infrastructure, while the rugged construction ensures long-term reliability.
-Campus Network Distribution
Ideal for university, hospital, corporate, and government campus environments where multiple buildings are connected from a central backbone. The closure can be placed in manholes or handholes to distribute fibers to various campus locations.
-Aerial Plant Installations
Suitable for pole-mounted and strand-mounted installations in aerial plant networks. The lightweight PP plastic construction minimizes load on supporting structures, while the UV-resistant material ensures long life in exposed environments.
-Underground Manhole and Handhole Deployments
Perfect for installation in underground telecommunications infrastructure. The IP68-rated sealing protects splices from water immersion and humidity in manholes and handholes, ensuring reliable performance in wet environments.
-Fiber Optic Rehabilitation and Upgrade Projects
Ideal for network rehabilitation projects where existing cables are being spliced to new infrastructure. The re-enterable design allows technicians to add, remove, or modify splices as network requirements evolve over time.
-Utility and Smart Grid Communication Networks
Well-suited for power utility, oil and gas, and smart grid communication networks where reliable fiber connections are required for monitoring and control systems. The robust construction withstands the challenges of utility infrastructure environments.
-Railway and Transit Communication Systems
Perfect for wayside communication networks along railway lines and transit corridors. The closure can be installed in equipment cases, handholes, or aerial locations to support signaling, communication, and passenger information systems.
-Temporary Network Restoration
Suitable for emergency restoration scenarios where quick, reliable splicing is required to restore network service. The large capacity allows multiple cables to be restored from a single closure, speeding restoration efforts.
